Music

I love music. Music has helped me survive. I grew up with music. I remember when i was a little girl i could hear the music in the back ground early in the morning at my na na’s house.(Grandma)…She be in the kitchen making oatmeal while i was still in bed listening to the music. This was in the 60’s. I remember it like it was yesterday. There were 2 songs specifically that i remembered “my beautiful ballon” by the 5th dimension. And ” The bluest sky i ever seen are in Seattle ” those 2 songs stick out the most. I don’t know why.

My Mom was a music buff. I swear my Mom had every Motown album. Every Saturday i would wake up to music playing in the background just like at Na Na’s house. Gladys Knight, Supremes, Temptations, Joe Tex just to name a few. We would clean up all day with the music blasting. When we took a break my siblings and i would dance and laugh, Mom would even do alittle move. My Mom really knew how to shake her hips! Everything in my life was music . When we did watch TV it was American band stand and Soul Train. As i got older i knew i wanted to be a D.J. i wanted people to feel what i was feeling about music. So i would rent DJ equipment and play for parties, parks, weddings, birthdays and clubs. Eventually i had enough money to buy my own DJ equipment and i was a disc Jockey for 12 years this was in the nineties.

Fast forward im still into music it will always be part of my life. So my blog is dedicated partly to music because music is me. I have 50 years of music in my heart and i just want to share some of my heart with you.🎧🎹🎼🎵🎶🎤🥁
